Here there are children and adults seeking the pleasure of playing, working, talking, thinking and inventing together.
Loris Malaguzzi
This study group is an opportunity to discover the educational project of Reggio Emilia through dedicated recorded materials and live conversations with pedagogistas who work in the city's municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools every day.
The pedagogistas who will follow you for the entire duration of the digital study group will discuss 3 fundamental concepts for the Reggio Emilia Approach:
- The image of child and the idea of learning
- The 100 languages and the culture of the Atelier
- Environments/spaces and learning contexts
4 video films which you will find in your personal area on the Reggio Children website will allow you to become more familiar with these themes.
The materials will be yours until 1 month after the end of the study group. You can watch them again and again, take notes, and highlight what is not clear to you for sharing in the live sessions.
Each live meeting is dedicated to one of the fundamental concepts: the pedagogistas will comment on parts of the recorded video material and propose new content for a deeper understanding of the theme.
The Zoom platform will be our virtual classroom where you can share questions, thoughts and reflections.
From your own home you can ask questions and interact with other participants.
Documentation in the form of videos and presentations will let you take your first steps in infant-toddler centres and preschools where the Reggio Emilia Approach is renewed each day.
A unique opportunity for those of you who haven't been able to visit Reggio Emilia yet and are curious to discover this educational approach.
