The Atelier proposes an investigation of paper, a very common material encountered by adults and children in everyday life at home and in school. Paper comes in a variety of shapes, grains, colours and thicknesses. It possesses extraordinary and flexible properties of transformation: both fragile and resistant it holds onto its folds and creases, is pliable in our hands, two-dimensional but capable in a few gestures of re-inventing three-dimensional spaces and objects.

Live streaming from the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre in Reggio Emilia

In The Secrets of Paper online Atelier you can explore the transformative possibilities of this material. In observing and documenting them you will get to know the material more closely, going further than the usual stereotyped uses to renew your points of view and perceptions, discovering the potentials of paper's language and its ties with the dimensions of logic, number, geometry, expression, construction, imagination and emotion.

Each person, from home, will be able to construct an original pathway of research supported and sustained by a Reggio Children pedagogista and atelierista, live-streaming from the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre.

In your Reserved Area you will find the list of easy-to-find materials needed in order to participate in the Atelier.

The Secrets of paper Atelier began with a journey in Reggio Emilia's infant-toddler centres and preschools, in collaboration with the Remida Creative Recycling Center, Reggio Children and Fondazione Reggio Children - Centro Loris Malaguzzi.

Materials: in your Reserved Area you will find a pdf with the list of materials needed to participate in the atelier.

Equipment: computer with webcam to be kept on during the atelier. In case of tablet or smartphone make sure you have a tripod on which to place these devices and be able to manage the framing. Without these equipment it is not possible to do the online atelier.

Link to participate: the access link to the online atelier will be sent to the email address with which you registered 1 day before and uploaded to the reserved area 1 hour before.

 

The fee is € 50 per person. Limited places.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:

  • participation in 1 online atelier live from Reggio Emilia lasting 3 hours
  • the pdf document to prepare for the online atelier that you will find in your reserved area on the Reggio Children website

 

Please note that participation is individual and you are not allowed to share live links or study materials with others.

 

No, the online ateliers will only be available at the times and on the days indicated in the program . They will not be recorded and made available later. For this reason, we invite you to carefully check the time zone of the country in which you live so as not to miss the appointment.

 

Yes, the certificate of participation will be uploaded to your personal area within 30 days of the workshop.

 

You can exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 working days from the date of purchase. After this period, you can withdraw and obtain a refund equal to 75% of the amount paid in full, if you communicate the cancellation within 14 days of the event.

Cancellations communicated after this deadline will not be refunded in any way.

In any case, it is not possible to move your registration from one online atelier to another.
