The 100 languages: doors for contact with the world

Reggio Children is dedicating all October’s webinars to the 100 languages, the myriad potentials of children (and all human beings) for encountering the world, elaborating their own personal representations and theories, and communicating.

To start off our 100 languages month, we’re offering a free webinar to members of the Reggio Emilia Approach Digital Community on Monday 12 October at 4.30pm (CEST - Rome time).  The title of the webinar is “The 100 LANGUAGES – the multiple doors to knowledge”.

If you can’t be there for the live event you will have access to the recording, which will be posted online a few days later.

All languages have equal dignity, and as Loris Malaguzzi said, all languages are “ways of being and acting, generators of complex imagery and vocabularies, of symbol and of metaphor, organisers of practical and formal logics, promoters of personal and creative styles.

In this webinar, starting from reflection on work matured in Reggio Emilia, we would like to offer an organic frame for the more specific investigations in the webinars to follow.

Info

To participate in the webinars, or see recordings of the webinars later, you need to register free in the Reggio Emilia Approach Digital Community.

As a member you will be entitled to special discounts, exclusive content and lots of other initiatives for community members only.

Reggio Emilia Approach

The Reggio Emilia Approach® is an educational philosophy based on the image of a child with strong potentialities for development and a subject with rights, who learns through the hundred languages belonging to all human beings, and grows in relations with others.
