Documentation is an integral part of the educational theories and practices and gives them structure. It renders the nature of learning processes visible and evaluable, subjective and in groups, in children and in adults, and turns them into a shared common legacy.
From Indications Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Children
This journey is an opportunity to explore the topic of documentation and children’s learning processes by watching and studying 4 on-demand webinars and participating in 2 live conversations with pedagogistas and teachers from Reggio Emilia.
In the webinars, teachers and pedagogistas will discuss the topic of documentation and children’s learning processes by using extensive documentation material collected during their daily experience in the infant-toddler centres and preschools of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
The first live conversation will be an introduction to the Journey and will provide a general overview on the topics of the webinars.
The second live, considering the viewing of all 4 webinars as a starting point, will be an opportunity to:
- ask questions about the experiences you have seen in the webinars
- deepen some aspects covered in the webinars
- gather further thoughts to be shared in your professional context

From 1975 to 2016 Mirella Ruozzi was Atelierista with the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
For Reggio Children Ruozzi collaborates on realising exhibitions, ateliers, publishing projects, and professional development courses, through participating in seminars and workshops in Italy and overseas.
