The wall of jumps

Long jumps, short jumps, small jumps, big jumps, closed jumps, bat jumps to the sky...

Peter Pan municipal Infant-toddler Center: Children from 2 to 3 years old

On exploratory walks in the green area of Villaggio Dossetti Village, home to the Peter Pan Infant-toddler Center class for 2–to-3-year-olds for a few months now, the children were especially attracted to a low wall that runs alongside the basketball court.

They walked on it taking small steps, in Indian file, backwards and then jumping. Long jumps, short jumps, small jumps, big jumps, closed jumps, bat jumps to the sky...

The children’s physical and bodily energy marked the many experiences this area offered them.

With their positions, the children seem to invent subtle, instantaneous choreographies of movement, balancing while walking to reach new vantage points and “hovering” positions.

Would you like to add your own jump?

When you pass by, come and play on the jumping wall, take a picture of your jump and send us a photograph to: peterpan.nido@comune.re.it

Let's give the city jumps and leaps, to remember that it’s also a place that’s playful and allows us to leap up to the sky!
