Ladybug larva

Coccinellidae, Coccinellidae

Look, there's a really weird insect! Martina, 5 years old
It's pointy on top. Adam W, 5 years old
That's a ladybug larva, because ladybugs come out of its bottom and then it turns into a ladybug, and ladybugs eat aphids. Samuele, 5 years old
But does this insect make a ladybug, or does a ladybug make this insect? Martina, 5 years old
This gray insect comes from the ladybug's belly, and then it grows up and becomes an adult ladybug, and then it lays eggs, and then this gray insect is reborn, and then the whole cycle starts over again. Samuele, 5 years old
It has yellow dots, maybe it sprays poison from the dots to defend itself. Amy, 5 years old

Drawings by Martina and Samuele, 5 years old
