The Crostolo: Unusual glimpses of everyday routes

 A few steps outside the school and it feels like another world.

 

Do you know where the water comes from? Not even from the sea, not even from the world, it comes from the earth, that is, the earth makes water and then takes it to the river... Giacomo, 5 years old

If we don't have water from the rain, we won't have any more to drink... it's important for all of us, for the whole city... Emmanuela, 5 years old

Those trees there have been there for a very long time, they’re getting old....

There is only water inside the Crostolo, it’s impossible for us to see a rainbow or a unicorn... Giacomo, 5 years old

The ducks don't like other rivers, they come here because the school’s here. Ludovica, 5 years old

 

The Crostolo’s beautiful... Emmanuela, 5 years old
We call people to the Crostolo, we show them all the beautiful things... they take pictures of the beautiful things. Kristian, 5 years old
But they can't do what they want otherwise the Crostolo becomes ugly... they just have to look, if they want to see these things again they have to go back to the Crostolo... Chiara, 5 years old
If you go in and trample ,afterwards it’ll be ugly and it won't be beautiful anymore. Kristian, 5 years old
Flowers can't be picked because otherwise you can't make honey, there’s pollen and pollen turns into honey because bees make it. Chiara, 5 years old
