For the children of the Sole Infant-toddler Centre, the street is a hub of activity, a sinuous structure that serves to connect places but above all life experiences.
For the children of the Sole Infant-toddler Centre, the maze of urban pathways and routes that trace the web of relationships in the journey between home and school emerged as a significant feature of the city
Their graphic interpretations emotionally connected the life paths and encounters that occurred along the way.
We go from one place to another, up and down, zigzagging, along a collection of fantastic streets that represent the emotional landscape the children want to express.
OPEN THE MAP
These streets portray/represent their affections, what is all around but not only: there’s the street to the park where you can turn somersaults, the windy street that sweeps us away, the angry street, the happy street that can be travelled any way you like, round streets, streets for everyone.
At the centre are the children’s feelings that resonate as an invitation for adults towards new pathways, new features to redesign the city.
Fantastic streets await you, travelling through play and movement at the Campo di Marte Park, the place where much of the children's research was focused.
The children’s gaze encourages us to inhabit new dimensions in order to get to know each other because things happen in the street, trees grow, people greet each other. Sofia, 3 years and 4 months
