THE BOOKSHOP IN YOUR HOME

Some of the research projects conducted with children in Infant-toddler Centres and Preschools, such as “Mosaic of graphics, words, material”, have given us greater evidence than we expected in confirming that the surfaces we draw on can prompt the children’s creative processes.

SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR CHILDREN

Pieces of wood, glassplastic, and stones or rocks of different size, colour, and shape, can all become sheets of “paper” we can draw on with unusual markers.

Have you ever tried drawing with water on a stone?

The stone holds onto your marks, but then they slowly disappear, a little at a time.

When we explore materials, they open up new worlds and “imaginaries”.
