In this special issue of Rechild we offer a synthesis and reworking of the International Symposium ‘Learning about Learning’ (Reggio Emilia, June 1999) which by the side of Reggio Emilia pedagogista’s and teachers, saw several academics and researchers from Italy and overseas who have been in dialogue with Reggio Emilia’s experience of education for some time. The intent of the Symposium was to offer the theme of the relationship between learning and teaching to the attention of participants.
