Los niños y el barro


Trabajar con el barro genera conocimiento de diferentes materiales y técnicas, una actitud alegre ante la curiosidad, la exploración, la prefiguración, la experimentación, la evaluación.

¿Cuáles relaciones podemos ver y fomentar en las exploraciones plásticas de los niños?

¿Cómo sostiene la construcción con el barro los lenguajes y viceversa?

Intentaremos dar respuesta a estas y otras preguntas, partiendo de la experiencia de Reggio Emilia.

El barro es un material maleable y muy sensible a la manipulación: gracias a sus propiedades transformadoras, exploratorias y creativas, sugiere aprendizajes y estimula los sentidos y la imaginación.

A través del dialogo con el barro, los niños se descubren como autores de signos y grabados, exploran el material, realizan gestos, producen efectos inesperados, imitan a sus compañeros, construyen juntos, crean personajes y objetos que representan una idea, un pensamiento.

Las maestras están en el punto de encuentro entre el barro y el niño, preparadas a valorizar intentos, descubrimientos, sorpresas.

Pedagogista

Claudia Giudici, psychologist, has been President of Reggio Children Srl since 2016, and a member of Reggio Children’s Board of Directors since 2011.

She is the author of articles, and curator and editor of exhibitions and publications realised by Reggio Children. 

Isabella Meninno
Atelierista

Isabella Mennino has been an Atelierista with the Istituzione of Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres, municipality of Reggio Emilia since 1999.
Currently she is working in the role of atelierista with the “Martiri di Sesso” municipal preschool in Reggio Emilia.

For Reggio Children she has collaborated on the realisation of publishing and exhibition projects, and on professional development initiatives.
