Project with Officina Educativa

 

A research-professional development initiative aimed at studying the services implemented by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia for accompanying and supporting the school entry of children of foreign origin and designing curricula that respond to the new educational needs expressed.

 

The research has been carried out as part of the process of defining and implementing the Servizio Officina Educativa established by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. The aim of this service is to integrate the extra-curricular activity of the primary, middle, and secondary schools, creating a network among the various opportunities available in the local area in support of youth.

 

In this context, Reggio Children in conjunction with the Servizio Officina Educativa of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia has organized a research-professional development initiative involving interviews with stakeholders and providers, along with observations in context. The aim is to study the services provided by the municipality and design curricula that respond to the new educational needs of schools, families, and the community. The project involves training for the educational personnel in planning and designing activities from a pedagogical perspective and reflecting on the teaching-learning processes.

 

Reggio Children has been involved in organizing this research-professional development initiative within the Officina Educativa services as a contribution to the organic development of the project for reorganizing the service.
